new guy Introduction

Post by zackd » Thu Aug 13, 2009 5:53 pm

HI everybody,
I am a new member on the forum. I have been playing guitar for the past 11 or so years. I love old Marshall amps as well as Fenders. I am very happy to have found this this forum and have learned alot. Enough to have put mustards in my super 100jh and not die or screw up the amp. As soon as i get the money together I plan on buying a kit or Georges 10,000 series amp. My Hats off to Metro great job on plexi replics. I have played in bands of many styles blues, blues rock, funk, motown, rock, reggae, some jazz, top 40. My favorite to play is blues/rock. A few of my Favorite artists are probably Hendrix, the Allman bro's,The beatles,The Meters,Wes montgomery, the blues great,Eric johnson. I toured south east asia playing reggae and top 40,but am curently putting to together Hendrix tribute call "up from the skies". I am hail from the crappy state Ohio in the U.S. am currently just teaching. Here is what part of my rig sounds like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUfDINMRncc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Hopefully I will get a metro kit soon! I am amazed by some of the builds on the site. I would like to see a blackflag kit.

Welcome man(you've actually been around longer than me),

This is a great place to be...

Things have been a little slower lately so if you don't get immediate responses don't sweat it, there are tons of knowledgeable people here willing to help as long as you're willing to listen.

*About 2 minutes through your video, volume swells really sound good man :) *

Building a kit or buying some of George's own work, you cannot go wrong,

....That is..... only if you play loud!

8)

Just finished your vid, great fuzz sound, what make of Fuzz Face are you using?

Hi, I am new here also. I have a '95 Marshall 1987x that I am modding to '68 specs with a MetroAmp 50 watt kit board and sep. rectifier, changing pots to Mojo CTS, deleting the #3 chassis mounted LCR cap can and making the stock vert. Drake PT a laydown unit. Will post more when I am done. Thanks to all, Ron
