Marshall Badge Mounting

I bought a 6" Marshall Script logo when I built my 100 Watt kit. The badge has a post sticking out of the center of if. Is the correct way to mount these is to drill a hole in your cabinet smaller than the post and install the logo into the hole so it is snug?

Not sure if I will ever put it on, I like the metro amp badge but it just doesn't seem right to drill a hole like that in the head box.

Yup, that's the way to do it. I recommend first making a template on a piece of wood, make some marks where the holes are supposed to line up with the pins, then drill with an approximately 3mm size bit. Test-fit the logo on the template before you attack the head cab, using the template as guide holes.

Do a search for posts on my user name here. I did a tutorial on how to install these several months back.
