New Guy on the "Monoblock"

Post by BS2K » Tue Aug 04, 2009 2:24 am

Hey everyone. Image
Yes, i am a noob in the terms of First post for sure.
But we all took the plunge at some point right? Image

I have been reading this "GREAT" place for a year and decided it was time to Jump in and Join.
A little back ground on myself. I have been Playing Guitar from the age of 12. I am 40 Now. I grew up On the stage and behind it. My father was a Working Sound engineer and Guitarist. and i went to work with him 5 days a week So i thought that was what everyone Did.. Image
I was an Electronic tek at local TV-Stereo shop at the age of 15. and also the Guitar and amp tek
at the local Music store at 18. Until i was 30'ish
Then i got into Computers and got my Degree in MCSE MCDBA etc.
All the time doing the Tek and service work,at the local stores. before opening my Own Computer Guitar amp repair shop. in 2002.

I also Currently work for Rob Halford From Judas Priest as the Live Chat Admin.Image
And also work with his VBulletin software and the package deployments For his main Data Tek.

After a Divorce in 2006 I got out of most , If NOT, all repairs of any kind . Divorces will do that Image
and Forgot a LOT of what i knew in a hurry.

But i must say after Reading this great place WOW what a refresher Course.
There are some of the best Amp and tone making minds I have ever had the privilege to read and learn from.
I feel Like i am Home amongst great Company. that i KNOW i have already learned from with out asking even One question.

So even though this isn't a Question thread.
(and I am Sure there will be many from me, because i am just getting back into Amp repairs again).

This is more of a Thank you thread, for the info that is already readily available for the world to see.

Thank you for this plethora of Information And thank you George for making this place for all these like Minded people to Come together and your Time and efforts to keep these tones alive and available for the next generationsImage
