I am curious to know if excessive low voltages can harm your amp ...such as by using a variac and say brining down the voltage to 75-80v or even less.

There's a tab in the navigation bar that new members may find beneficial. If you have a question, try a "Search" first. This place is a wealth of knowledge, all you have to do is look around.
