Zener orientation question

I want to put a Zener diode at the start of the B+ line. I have a few here. They don't have a band around but rather a notch at one end.

Now what direction should the notch face? The rectifier diodes... or the rest of the amp?

Not familiar with that package. What's the number on it.. It's more than likely the cathode so you'd put it towards the tranny. In other words backwards compared to a rectifier. BUT lets get that package figured out first.
