What are some of the signs that output valves are getting on a bit? The impression I get from a read of chambonino.com is it's more common for them to fade away than go bang.
A loss in volume would be one sign that the output valves need replacing? What other signs are there? Do KT77's last longer than EL34's, or age differently?
(I'm not the brightest spark in the world, and it's better to ask and be sure than scratch your head in bewilderment!)

Loss of top end sparkle is most common, loss of bottom end control is another sign that may appear.
