Using Higher Voltage Coupling Caps
My 100 w SLP ri. If I change out the .022uf @400v. to a .022uf@ 650v. will going to a higher voltage hurt or change anything? I want to take out the caps that are in it now and replace with some Mullards or is a waste of $20.00. The 400V. caps are $20.more

Bobtec, it will not hurt anything at all. If you are going to replace with Mustards let me know I have Radial 0.022uf 630v that will fit nicely.

Re: Using Higher Voltage Coupling Caps
The only downside of using higher voltage caps is the slight increase in ESR, and possibly slightly slower response times...
Not really much to worry about.
