NOS Tube Question

Post by Kramer » Thu Aug 06, 2009 12:52 am

Of course you steel wool the ends of NOS resistors, right? I got my first NOS tubes a few days ago, but haven't plopped them in yet, and the pins got quite a bit of oxidation on them. Should I steel wool these? Maybe contact cleaner? What do you all use?

Thanks

Brasso if they're corroded. (Soft metal polish)
De-oxit if they're dirty.
In fact I use de-oxit on the sockets most of the time anyway, and push the tubes in and out a few times.
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!
