Started into my build, a few simple questions.

Hey all,

My 45 kit came in last night and I had a few quick questions before I go in any further.

For wiring the PT leads onto the ground lugs/tube sockets, are they purposefully giving you extra length to cut off, or am I not winding them enough? I'm finding I have too much length(especially for the grounding lug and the dual 32 cap), and wanted to check with you guys before I essentially cut the arteries of my amp :| If so, is this the same with the OT too? Haven't gotten that far yet.

And also, for just bolting everything in(Trannies, preamp/power/rectifier tube sockets) do I need to use the washers with the 'teeth'(I think they're just called lugs, they look like the grounding lugs w/o the cavities for grounding) between the chassis and the nut? I can't find any pictures of them used in George's instructions, but it's hard to tell from a sky-view perspective.

On tuesday the choke is coming in, then I can really get started, I don't want things to get too crowded in there before I load it in.

You will have a lot of extra length but wait until everything is in (Tube sockets, ground lugs, etc...) before you cut the wires so you can "custom" cut them to the right length! Good Luck!

Yeah, I've got all the sockets in, so I'm gonna start soldering soon, thank you for the confirmation.
