What are Transits?

Sorry if spelled wrong..My SLP seems to lag when I play fast runs I wanted to know if that was the right word ,and can you make the amp respond faster

Do you mean "transients"? If you want a tighter, faster response, upping the filtering (especially the main filtering) will add a quicker and tighter response. Check out the Trainwreck Express. It uses more filtering than a SL and definitely has that fast response.

Other thing I found is that amps with big PI output couplers (0.1uF vs 0.022uF have same effect, split cathode amps seem to be the same, keeping the volume knob under 8 (ie before it mushes out) also helps, IMO

Thanks TRANSIENTS.I read back in a Guitar Player from 1993 a well known Marshall guru Harry Kolby in NYC said he could make your "pick explode" off the strings,something about reworking the whole power supply...My 1993SLP 100 w. seems to sag when I play to fast (doing EVH type riffs)Thanks Dr.N

A beefed up power supply ( a PT with higher ma rating) and higher filtering will definitely give you that. I would try upping the main filter cap first and see if that helps.
