JTM45 .68uf Cap @ V2 Addition?

Post by Hazy » Wed Oct 19, 2005 9:01 am

What happens when I add a .68uf cap across the 820 ohm resistor at V2 on a JTM45 circuit just like on the ~68 plexi circuit? I guess I already know that I can...uh, because I did.

To me, it seems to front-end load the volume (fast loud ramp up) as compared to no .68 uf cap. Are there any other reasons to or not to add the cap? This amp is a JTM45 clone that I alter it at will to see how amp tones change with circuit mods and component changes.

Thanks,
Hazy

Why does that volume increase so fast with the .68 uf cap? :?
