Contact Cleaner or Compressed Air for cleaning pots

Post by dirtydeeds22 » Thu May 05, 2005 11:31 am

What do you guys recommend. I used compressed air last time, but now I need to do it again. It's only been 4 months. Is contact cleaner better?

Most contact cleaners will leave behind a lubricant (normally silicone based) to help prevent the problem coming back right away. This works great except in dusty environments where the silicone will actually hold the dirt on the traces in your pots.

Under most circumstances I do recommend the contact cleaner.

That sounds just right to use both. Air to mke sure to clean the area and chamical to lubricate and help prevent.
