adding tube rectifier

Post by daniel » Wed Oct 26, 2005 2:22 pm

Hi all, I've decided I'm gonna add a tube rectifier to my bandmaster using a weber copper cap so I don't have to change the power transformer but leave the ss diodes in there and switch between the two. Thanks for the diagram you gave me billy batz but I have a few more questions cause I think that diagram is from a tweed deluxe. Should I use a GZ34 or 5AR4? Also what kind of switch do I need to order? Apologize for all my constant questions, your help is truly appreciated as it helps me learn a ot.

You use whatever rectifier you normally would with the amp. I would use a switch like the reddish power and standby switches sold in the metro store.
