Help wiring power supply

Post by Guest » Wed Aug 03, 2005 7:26 pm

I'm trying to repair a 50 watt superlead. In my amp the leads from the 120 VAC plug are connected directly to the power switch. Is this correct? All the schematics I have seen show the power supply connected to a 2 Amp fuse before the switch. Does it even matter if the fuse is before of after the switch? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What year amp is it? Earlier amps go to the 2 amp fuse first, but I know on my '78 each leg of the AC goes to one side of the rocker switch so that both legs are switched. I have a chassis pic of the '78 around somewhere, but not of my earlier '75.

If it's for the rocker switch-style amps I just posted some pics of the switch wiring here in hopes of helping Fmmark out:
