RICH MOD NOISY??

i recently installed the rich mod used dual 1 meg pots as that is what i had available, ive followed the diagram for post phase inverter mv and put it in a superbass,
it worked fine
i then changed the pot for a dual 500k as i had read that is the correct value
now the amp is noisy when i jumper channels
anyone got ideas why this would happen, is the dual 500k going to be inherently noisier or could i have overlooked something
ive checked the mod it looks correct ive changed the dual 500k for another
same problem again??

My guess is the pot is either more susceptable to the bias voltage, or is just plain noisy. I've had a few new pots noisey right away.

Try spraying it and see if the noise clears up.
