1 ohm bias resistors

Post by OnTheFritz » Thu Jul 14, 2005 10:15 am

I'm slowly plugging along on a 100 watt re-build, and was getting ready to solder in the aforementioned biasing resistors, and they measure:
1.4, 1.3, 1.3, and 1.3. Should i even bother? My readings are gonna be way out of whack, right?

Most metes are not very accurate at those low resistances. Do you think your readings are right?

Now that you say that, I'm not sure, it's a cheap meter!
I think I'll put em' in, and just wing it, and keep an eye out for any redplating.
Thanks,
Fritz

An other thing when the amp gets hot the resistors itseft will become not acurate so better do your biasing before it get to hot in there!!!!!
