agree with lefty lu.
the actor, do you have another fuzz ? and a simple wah without the retrofit ?
get them, and now, test this on your fuzz input, picture attached, where you'll recognize a classic fuzz circuit , but just a portion of it. anyway, you'll have to recognize, just find a classic fuzz schematic somewhere, plenty out there.
it might be a great thing that you may build one some day, dead simple, and a good thing to start before amps.
so, on this picture, you'll see a pot sign on the input signal of the jack, 250 lin , bleeding to ground.
that's it, that's all you need to do, getting a 250k lin pot, and manage to solder it between the input signal connection of the jack, the input of the circuit, and the ground ( the ground of the circuit, which may be connected to the chassis, the chassis may be connected to both jacks grounds. the ground of the circuit may be connected to the output jack's ground.
get rid of the rest of this picture, just focus on recognizing how it's close to a classic fuzz , with Q1, the input jack ...
and focus on how to wire a simple pot or trimer there.
apply it to a known working simple fuzz, or build one within an hour or two. certainly plenty of kits on eBay for cheap.
now get another wah, and try with the wah going into the input of the fuzz. decrease the input bias a bit , your wah is going to work, despite the fuzz after it. normaly it shouldn't.
That will be a good base to compare with your other wah and other fuzz.
good luck
