I have an ace strap, it's great. Hendrix had one exactly the same as me and it was sold at auction a few years ago for $8000.
Although I have not seen any photos of him with it at all. It was definitely not bogus, Jimi gave it to a girl friend of his and she had some documents for it. I have seen Jimi with the alternayte blue pattern version of this strap. Exactly the same but a different colour. Although it was filmed in black and white, The Stora Salen Stockholm 1969 show is a prime example.
