Not super critical, but banded end toward the tubes is the sentiment.

You shouldn't really notice a difference

Actually alot of people prefer them to not be aligned, and even think they sound better. That's how it was done back in the day.

So no mistake at all really!

ok ..so that's cool....i also have done one thing ...i've made the underboard wiring with pink cable ...might not be an error i think cause it's rated at 600v ...might fit well in the pream section..even better than the black wire no?

do someone ever thought to make a jtm 45/100.........combo  ....with a very deep closed back 2X12 loaded with weber or scumbacks 100watters ???...looking the pricey headcases the idea passes suddently through my mind ....you know kind of a huge bluesbreaker under amphetamines ....

little question now ....my chassis has the chance to be custom drilled ..in fact i didn't have already drilled the ot socket ....i also heard that in the 45/100 the original placement of the ot , bobbins of the pt and the ot in parallel , induced hum in the sound chain ....can i change a little the placement of the ot to make it dead silent when in standby mode ??? can someone give a simple drawing of the upper chassis with the most accurate placement of the ot ....i'm guessing it must be pretty similar to a sl ( the end bell covers in parallel with the front panel ) , perhaps i'm wrong ...someone can tell ??????
i would be very very interested

Usualy best practice is to have the OT bobins turned 90 degrees from the PT. So yes the PT faceing front to back on the chassis and the OT left to right.
