Phil X IS a decent player, but a little too full of himself for me to take him seriously. He's one of those guys with a rap that attracts the real dumb-ass chicks after a gig.
A bit too much constant flipping the hair out of his eyes, and WAY too much "Yo dude, man... its like TOTALLY rad!! Tricked out like Kreskin, ya kno??"
That shit gets REAL old in about 5 seconds.

I knew a player exactly like him years ago... a DLR type. Good looking guy, had all the lines that got the dumbells after the gig... who's now in his 50's and STILL trying to hold onto that image (like DLR). It works when you're in your 20's, maybe early 30's.
Not so much after that.

(But again, he IS a decent player, and thats more important in a band situation than the "cool-boy" persona).
