Excellent find on Stone Fury. Been looking for that tune for a while. Didn't know who the band was. I just knew the tune was Break Down The Walls. Thats the lead singer for Kindom Come... Lenny Wolf. That was his first band. Pretty cool!
King Kobra is amazing also. I have had those albums for about 6 years now.

I'll go with:
Scorpions
MSG
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden
Dio era Black Sabbath ('Live Evil's' tone kills)
The first two ARMORED SAINT records (the first is my fave)
Metallica
Tokyo Blade
Loudness
Def Leppard
Krokus
Saxon
Man, I need to keep brainstorming and thinking on this.......There are SO many great tones from that era

Re: '79-85 ERA Hard Melodic Rock tones catalog
it was an era of killer tones, and each was different from each other. good thing my turntable still works great. tokyo blade had some cool tones i agree. i'd add the first black n blue, the guys from kingdom come (lenny's next band) used all vintage gear, you must check out the first two heavy pettin albums preferably on vinyl but the cd's sound good two. great tones there. i think the first two rods albums are full of tones
