Boy, Free was a great band. They are probably one of my favorites right now. Paul Rogers=Best Vocal, Andy Fraser=Best Bassist ever, Koss= Tons of Soul, Kirke= Good drummer. Ive only got their Fire and Water album, but i do plan on getting more.

Yeah man, awesome band! Andy Fraser was a big fan of Jack Bruce as you can hear in his playing. I love his bass lines 8)

Mr. Big is one of my favs. I love the Bass solo on it. I almost dropped guitar and started bass right there the first time I heard it!!

I really like that 'Free Forever' DVD. If you like 'Mr. Big', dig this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=_FhCilozomo

I like Kossoff. Great Marshall sound, distinctive vibrato, never overplaying, digging in those notes...

Is it true that he played through bass cabs?

Anyone know what amp he's using on Mr. Big, the live version on the 20th century masters album?

Sweet tone.

Agreed! He's one of my favorite bassists. And his tone was so good as well. Not many modern day bassists play like that anymore (or use that type of tone) and it's a shame because it was such a great, full sound.
