is it recorded really loud ? attenuated or not ? thickness is absolutely great on this mod (playing too ) , but perhaps everything is a tad loose or messy on bassy chords , for lack of better term it lacks *tension* perhaps a bit , but maybe it's the cab or the overall volume which affects probably the type of bass response ? pickups ? the "zing" on top notes though is just badass ( almost like the top notes you hear on the scumback m75ldhc soundclips on jim's website ) ...
take all of this with a grain of salt ,i'm biased ,i venture on the blues side some times but i mostly play heavy with emgs and like the punch to be *compact* and straight, almost lazer guided  ( but not lifeless that's why i went away from peavey metal heads , vht and all this long time ago ) , it always depends on what you shoot for

Hi frenchie, thanks for your great feedback :D the clips were recorded with everything on 5, it was pretty loud, not attenuated, the cab is a Marshall 1960ax with g12h30 55hz speakers, guitar tokai ls-150 pickups A2,

Here is another clip with bass & drums,
