Live Band Clip ~Rave Up in Nine~ 69 Marshall

Post by Myopic Void » Wed Nov 07, 2007 2:10 pm

Greetings Gents,

We recorded this impro jam last night with a guest drummer sitting in. The time sig is in 9, it was fun to explore and just blow it out. It has an odd feel and is raw, may not be to everyones taste. Sorry for the short clip but this is all I had time to grab...there is a little digital glitch/skip towards the last quarter...

that is a very very impressive Page type tone and playing.
I remember hearing some of those type of scales and passages on the early Led Zep bootlegs.
Extremely well done!!

MIOPIC VOID! A BLAST TO THE PAST!

Post by Big Archie » Sun Dec 02, 2007 12:36 am

FINALLY! Many players emulate the styles of other players and they do it really well. We can easily tilt our hats to those guys and it is justified. However, every once in a while a guy like Eric Hand of Myopic Void comes along and really dishes out the goods, making you not only remember the past and the great music of Led Zeppelin and other's but truly, for me, Myopic Void and the playing of Eric Hand is that fine line in the sand where you yes, remember your roots, but most importantly.......you FEEL your roots! This music is straight up GREAT and it is indeed a treat to see someone pull this type of thing out of their hat. Not only do I look forward to more great clips, but please Mr. Hand, whatever you do, DON'T stop making records!
