Well, I finally had some time to fool around with my latest aquisition, a Sound City 50+ head!
I really like the way it sounds.
My intent was to see if I could use the 50+ to recapture a little bit of Hiwatt-vibe that was missing in my sound portfolio. So I tried to give things a bit of a "context".
See, I am not so much interested in what the amps sound like as much as what I can get out of it ... so there it is! I did these in about three hours and was not shooting for accuracy and did everything from memory, so don't flame me for messing up the riffs & arrangements! ... and I used a lot of effects!

My attempt at being Gilmour-esque ...

My attempt at being Pete Townsend ...
Good luck! and let me know what you think.

yeah, it's a saviour! unfortunately, when i bought the amp i lived in the countryside but the amp didn't work (blown output transformer - i bought it like that), but by the time i had it fixed i had moved into the town. the "sensitivity" switch means i can drive it a little harder at lower volume, even though i'm also using pedals.45auto wrote:i love that switch on the back!
