Never seen it before but it must be an attempt to trim off a bit of high end I would guess.

maybe, the 100pf cap over feedback resistor or the 100k plate resistor of v1 i think are antifizz/oscillation mods so maybe this is as well ....dont know yet

a post in the comments shows a guy trying it and he mentions it may add a bit of compression. i've got it in an amp but havent taken it in and out yet to know really what it does
