I agree- I paid $500 for mine, back in the '90's. Sadly, that's what I sold it for because everybody wanted Soldano-type amps then. But you gotta admit- You couldn't build one for $1,200, and negotiation on CL is always a possibility...

Well I could, but chances are I would WANT to spend a little more on certain components. And certainly wouldn't be able to factor in speakers to that budget, that's for sure.
