PPIMV on Vintage Series 1959 SLP

Post by Mats A » Wed Oct 16, 2013 11:09 am

I´d like to put a PPIMV on my new Vintage Series 1959 SLP. It´s got two 22n caps after the phase splitter valve. Since i want a master like the one on the Vintage Modern Marshall should i put a 22n cap Before the dual pot also. The V M has that but has 100n caps. I want a master that don´t affect the tone when i turn the master up to 10 and use my marshall Power Brake for instance.

According to my brother if you put two caps in series i think he said you get half the value. So when you set the PPIMV on full wont that make the two caps be in series? If you put a 22n before and after the dual pot i mean.

Do you mean it affects the tone?
