Sounds great now, still some parasitic oscillation left though!

Thanks G
This was a great example of the small changes we spoke about.

A few postds ago Crunchboy made some butt sniffing comments, but 1 point taken and agreed.......LISTEN TO THE SOUND BEFORE U KNOW WHAT CHANGE WAS MADE.......Your opinoin will be unbiased and thus more accurate....
What a great idea......post a clip and hear the feedback before posting the tweak!!!

Wow, where have I been on this one? Great thread. I'm sure we are only tasting slight hints to what's really going on with the evolution of this thing but it's cool. The change that sang to me most was the switch to the Allen Bradley's and fizzy cap. From stock to the Sozo's, that's a tough one. I seem to hear that it's a bit more clear with the Sozo's but darker and maybe a bit smoother. Not sure if that's better or not (to me). Looking forward to more on this one.

James

If you rightclick on them you´ll get a .php. Just click on them. What OS/Browser do you have ?

Just tried to "left" click on them and it still wants me to save as php. I'm using windows XP, and my browser is internet explorer.
Thanks, jim

All you have to do is to save them as a .MP3 file and they will play just fine. Or you can save them as a .php and then re-name them later as .MP3 and then they will play...

I have been Busy building my MV 12XXX Metro Clone, anyway Great thread, Marshall Had a HW at the LA Amp Show last Saturday, It was disapointing to say the least, the JCM 800 next to the HW sounded sooo much better. I think George really done an amazing job transforming this amp..... with that said Marshalls are still not conistent, My friend has an HW that sounds really good. So far I have heard 2 so so HW's and one Good one, at least some things never change........ I will have 2 Great METRO amps for the Retail price of 1 Marshall HW !!!!!
Thanks George !!!!!!!!

Keep up the Great Job George,

this has been a good thread and i have been enjoying your clips George.

I actually liked the sound of the HW in the first clip before anymods it did seem very bright but could have been easily altered with the controls. As you changed the inside of this amp it got better still i think those sozo's kick ass i swear by em now all my diy stuff will have them.

George Your OT sounds absolutely fantastic!!!!

The wee discrepencies you pointed out dry joint and choke not bolted properly is not right even for a $3000 amp Chirst if i seen an amp like that i wouldn't even pay $1000 I wouldn't even care what badge was on it cause that is a new amp and it should be done properly. With modern technology they should be able to make stuff a lot better even old fashioned stuff.

Bainzy,

I had no idea you were such a young lad. Props to you. Based on the knowledge and professionalism you always show in the forum, I would have had pushing 30. I'm stunned.
