Just curious if anybody has tried a 3h choke in a 100w build? might really ghost, but they sound great in 45s and 50watter amps, really open and aggressive, IMHO,

Hi Bluze!
The MAR100C that VK just had in was 3H.
Hard to keep up with the Jetsons here, so many changes!

Hi Thousandshirts,Ohhh, didnt see that, I have been away from this thread, did VK not like the MAR100C Choke? I dont favor the MM 7H choke, but I am in the minority with that around here.

The Mar100C at least in this build just made it more noisy/fuzzy sounding. So far I think I like the stock Dagnall Choke over the Mar100c and the 7h. Still trying to decide.

yeah the 3h is not it. i like the 7h best. there is more depth in the sound to my ears compared to the stock dagnall. the 7h is my favorite choke.
its a speaker thing that we are hearing at this point. when r u getting new speakers?

G12M - 25 watt Speakers are here. Will be wiring up a PPIMV soon so I can play em without destroying em.

Ok now that the LarMar PPIMV is done and working, time to install and wire up the dual tap switch for the dual tap PT that I already have installed. I want to use a 25k Bias Pot instead of a resistor on the switch. Is this correct?

Actually, for the bias pot on the switch what you need to do is cut off the leg you have labeled "D" on the pot & use the leg on the other side of the pot to connect to the switch where you have labled "D", & connect "E" as you have it. The rest all looks right.

Not sure I understand what your mean? If I cutoff the leg labeled D on the Bias Pot and connect the Bias Pot leg labeled E to the switch where labeled D, then I only have 1 leg of the Bias Pot connected? And regarding "& connect "E" as you have it", I am not going to be using a resistor as in the picture, just the 25k Bias Pot.

Hey vkaxeman, sorry if my explaination was a little confusing. If you look at the pot it has three legs, two on one side & one on the other side. Cut off the leg you have labelled "D" in your diagram, now you should have two legs on the pot left, one on each side. Connect the leg that you had labeled "E" to the switch connector you have labeled "E". Now connect the other leg, that's on the other side of the pot, to the other connector on the switch that you labeled "D". Hopefully that's a better explaination. If not, let me know & I can put up a pic of it. I'm not at my home computer right now so I can't at the moment.
