Noice on 1959 SLP presence control
I wonder my new 1959 SLP Vintage Reissue has a noice when turning the presence control. According to my brother who knows electronics old Marshalls had some kind of voltage on the presence Control wich make them sound like that. The noice is at the same volume whatever volume i have on the amp. Is it so or is there some thing wrong like a bad pot.

It is in the end of long tail 5 k resistance to ground. you have DC through those circuit. it is very normal to hear a scratch when you turn it. If you are disturbed by that can replace the standard 1959 presence circuit to 2203 type one. suposed to be as same in effect they are not quite as same in tone.
