Why the new MetroAmp Zero Loss Loop has double face PCB?

Why the new MetroAmp Zero Loss Loop has double face copper PCB? the underside has the ground and the upperside has the connection between components.
I suppose for best grounding isolation , and the upperside has the B+ high voltage. What do you think? Should I upgrade my old loop for the new? Is the new more quiet, less noisy?
Marshalls loop is double face copper also. But has ground on the both sides.
thanks
