'69 SuperPlexi Metrobuild

Post by JimiJames » Thu Jul 30, 2009 7:35 am

I'll be gigging with this one.
I have mostly everything except the board material. (obvious in the pic)
Aesthetically not vintage correct but will have dual output/MV/FXloop.
Mustards & a Quad of Mesh retainers I have lying around.
Using mostly CF on this one and maybe a strategic CC in places.

I was using Putfile that has been debunked so I updated my Sig to post periodically.

Just going through the process. Got most of the stuff and more on the way.
(rubbing hands fiendishly in anticipation)

Sounds awesome. I'm interested in hearing how it will sound. Maybe also a little shootout with your '68 12XXX replicant. Gnarly!

FINALLY ! China Hats are in ! Thanks to a kind gentleman from the U.K.
Lost the initial set a couple of years ago. After moving several times I just gave up looking for them.
Board material is ready to go. (Thanks Brian !)
VG's Iron, Mustard's, Allen Bradley's, Terry's glass, Scotts knobs ... everything is in place as I fiendeshly anticipate. hehe

More, more!
I'll be buying a 100W kit in the coming days and I'm still hesitating on the zero loss fx loop. Is it really that good?

And as for caps: does the kit come with SoZo Mustard standards or vintage Mustards? Would you upgrade to the vintage if it comes with the standards?

YES ! The Zero-Loss effects loop is The SHIT . Never been more happy with my '68 rig ! IT's magic for a Plexi.
(I can post shots if anyone wants.)
I'm now incorporating sounds once hard to achieve; not going through the front end all...
I think it's an absolute must for Marshall's ! Atleast mine, anyway ! Man,

Yes, I would (did) go with Mustards
