Blew up my Metroamp

Post by Gainfreak » Thu Nov 15, 2007 11:31 am

:(

Plugged straight in to it and tried to crank it up a bit and its now popping mains fuses. I guess this will step up my learning of how to fix amps lol!!

I haven't played the amp that much at volume and they are relatively new but I'm sure that one of the tubes just went bad. Thanks!

Iv had a bunch of JJ's blow up when they were still quite new, and i had 3 JJ preamp tubes i bought brand new that were microphonic. Seems sometimes JJ's last and sometimes they dont last 5minutes..

Get a set of 11th Gen Shuguangs from TubeTramp. They're very durable.
