Superbass at Youtube
I need a little help, I saw a killer clip of someone playing Hendrix on a Metro Superbass and it was awesome. I now can't find it, can anyone here help me out?

Hey i think i know who that is!
Its a SLP Reissue with a Metro Superlead ptp board converted to Superbass specs. it was originally modded by Don Butler of Toneman when i got it(MM trannies, Sozo caps, etc) i blew the head a few months ago which turned out to be due to a faulty ground wire on the MM OT. one of the filter caps was bad so i replaced the filtering as well. got a Heyboer Drake 2'' OT from George and some F&T filter caps. i believe the clips i did was when i had the Mercury Magnetic transformers.

That's been one of my favourite clips for a long time. My JMP 50W sounds like that too and it's my favourite 'clean' sound. Why can no 'modern' amp give you this sound? If I could have a modern overdrive, like the Vintage Modern, but then switch to the sound of that Superbass for a clean sound, that'd be amp heaven. What is it about the old amp circuits that means only they sound like this?
