100 watt Kit Questions

I have finished my JTM45 Kit and could not be happier with the final result, I am now going to get a 100w kit to fulfill my tonal pleasure but I have a few questions:
1.) Is the standard kit the '68 Superlead Board or the '69 Superlead board?
2.) If I use the kit instructions are the only differences between the two the board components?
3.) Any opinions as to the difference in tone? (ie '68 sounds like xxxx and '69 sounds like xxxx)
Thanks in advance...

Standard kit is the '69. But differences between George's version of the '68 and the '69 are minimal -- more in the power supply filtering and physical layout than anything else. You can change the filter cap values in the standard '69 kit to mimic the Metro '68, with very nice results!!!
Hmmmm....post number 6666.....the beast times ten, that's me.........

Thanks Flames. 6666... now all you need is some dragon pants and a doubleneck gison.... which do you prefer? any noteworthy tones that you can compare the differences to? I was thinking about leaning toward the 69 w/sozo's but I could be swayed one way or the other based off others hands on experience.

so if I am reading this correctly, when I am ordering all I need to do is indicate what year board and the board components are the ONLY things that are different???

if you buy the kit, youve bought the kit
if you want a 68, ull either have to change things like the filtering to make it 68 spec, or by the 68 series bare bones kit, which is just the board, no head case or anything.
i bought the full kit, i can change it accordingly then
