George, are you going to offer a 69/70 JMP 50 watt kit?

Ha!
We both had the same idea, and both edited at the same time -that is weird.
Regarding that amp. I would build it as per schematic but pay consideration to putting the 47k NFB onto the 8 ohm tap and using a 2k7 reisistor instead of 820ohm on the split part of the V1 cathode.
Otherwise that is the one (hint again to George!)

Those layouts and skeemos are very nice indeed. Thanks for the links! (Curse you, Internet! Curse you and your manipulations of my free time!)

Still, I'm going to hold off and wait until George is circulating complete 50w kits. I feel certain that whatever time it takes George to do as he sees fit with this will be worth every minute of the wait. He does such a great job with the old 100w jobs, and I am sure he will want to keep his quality, parts, and results consistent. It's impossible to overlook George's attention to detail; everything just reeks of authenticity.

That would be more of the "norm" but this amp as well as the other on my page, 10512, are built in the same manner as this schematic. I have to tell you that this amp cranks and will sustain for days, just jump the channels and adjust the extra bright channel volume to taste. I should know as 10513 is my amp.Regarding that amp. I don't think I can wait any longer either. This kit is soooo far overdue I should be ashamed to show my face around here.
Not to mention the holiday shopping season is upon us once again.
Here's the deal. I can take a week off from emails and phone calls and not build an amp, that should be long enough to have the kit together. I'll need a little extra time to finish up and format the instructions.
I'll list the kit for preorder when I decide when to go for this plan. I promise to deliver all preorders in time to go under the Christmas tree!
Right now I have over (20) sets of trannys, about a dozen small boxes, (40) steel chassis and (30) sets of panels. That should get us started.
I do intend to take the instructions to the next level by incorporating era specific component values, some basic theory behind each section of the amp, lead, bass variations etc. This info may or may not make the first version. However, unlike previous instructions, I'll make these much easier to update and revise as we go.
Please let me know your thoughts?????

Yeah..I have a request alright... put me first on the "per-order" list and get back to me with a $$$ amount or if you want to work out a trade, or whatever. Damn 8 full minutes to respond to your post. I'm getting slow in my old age. Must have been those two hours at the blues jam last night and the two pitchers of Hefeweisen.

Oh YEAH! A lot of us have been contemplating piecing together a kit ourselves, but making it just that little bit easier would push many of us over the edge for sure!
A few suggestions for options I would like to see in the store:
- choice of regular SOZOs or premium SOZOs (or are they just available from the SOZO site?). Perhaps a choice then for "no caps"?
- choice for upgrade to carbon comp resistors in select positions
- choice for upgrade to FRED rectifier diodes
- choice for upgrade to NOS tube sockets
