That's not my web page, BTW. Also, you're building a 12xxx series amp (presumably to attain those sweet, juicy EVH tones), right? So then what's the "BB" doing in the heading for this topic? It's my understanding that "BB" signifies "BluesBreaker" (the JTM45 Combo). Kinda misleading :? . I totally clicked this article thinking it was something about a JTM45 kit. Anyway, hope that image helps.

OHHHH! Totally just got it! "BB" in your case = "Bare Bones" Got it! My bad. Hopefully the image helps. Just remember, with electrolytic capacitors (like the SoZo Royal 67s and the F&T capacitors that would be there in the unmodified 12xxx kit) there is a positive (+) terminal and a negative (-) terminal. As long as you keep the wires that were going to each respective end the same, then the amplifier should end up the same.

Along searching the forum I have tried to guide tone chaser through this path where the caps from my own build (like the caps in BBs layout "67/68 superlead") are changed to Royal 67. Them caps in a 12xxx I have only seen George do it.

If he keeps the directions of the diodes as in 67/68, will these changes do? I would hate to be responsible for him blowing up the amp... 8)
