Hi i,m building a jtm 50 amp el34 and rectifier tube
the board i have is a jmp lead with all orig parts mustards piers ext 0.68 caps
any way i want this to have a rectifier tube.. what transformers would you guys get
as well as choke or should this be a jmp with a rectifier build

Need to clarify.
You do or do not have 0.68uF caps?
If you do it is split cathode and you are looking at JMP50 not JTM50 spec.
Of course you can build a JMP50 with tube rectifier.
I would go 784-139OT from Marstran, Metro or ****** if split cathode. You must get the Marstran 1202-118PT as it has the 6.3v tap for main heaters and 5v tap for the GZ34 heaters, a C1999 or -114 choke (3H) is cool. You need to keep you mains filter cap at 50uF or below or you wlll quickly kill a modern GZ34

so it really is a jmp build with rectifier and el34s
having said that what would your transformer recommendation be
