Hi everybody,
After changing preamp tubes the preamp tubes don't work any more. Tried new ones - same thing. They don't light up properly (glow just a little bit - power tubes light up like they should). Checked the heater voltages: 3,1 AC.
Need help!

Re: 50 Watt preamp problem.
Drain the caps and try to re-tension the socket pins first and see if that helps. Could also be a dodgy solder joint on the socket .

Re: 50 Watt preamp problem.
The sockets look good. I checked the heater line with a meter :OK . In standby the preamp tubes get a little warm, but simply not as hot as they should get.

Preamp tubes don't get all that hot. I suspect the heaters are not your problem.
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!

Re: 50 Watt preamp problem.
Now, after re-soldering (can you put it this way- in English?) everything is fine. You where right, it was not the heater!
Thanks for helping!
