Hi to everybody. I am new here, but have been following the forum for a while. Alot of great info and everybody helps everybody, very nice.
George, I will be buying a 50 watt kit in late March. I wanted to know if you will be doing a step by step for the 12000. Second question, will the chassis of the 50 watt plexi allow room to add an fx loop and a master volume ? Anybody can answer the second question if you know. Thanks

I started with a JTM-45 kit then built a 12 series. The weird thing being, I actually found the 100watt to be a bit easier to build because of the extra space the chassis allows.he 12 series may be a bit much for my first build. The only thing I have ever done is install a MV on a plexi reissue and biasing amps.

But you also had the experience of building the JTM 45 under your belt.thetasigma wrote:I started with a JTM-45 kit then built a 12 series. I had a similar experience with my builds. I did the JTM 45 first, and then recently did the 50 watt. I was much more comfortable and had much more confidence building the 50 watt.

Won't argue with you on that one. However, my point being that with the larger chassis of an 100watt it seems to me a bit easier to route wires, and gives you some more elbow room when soldering components. But you also had the experience of building the JTM 45 under your belt.
