I'm guessing you want a non - Plexi 50 watt amp head chassis.Every plexi I've seen has 4 inputs, one high - gain, one low gain for each channel (2).

You must be after later models...late 70's?

Well...I was really after a 2204....but its too late now...cause I already cut the chassis. I will custom order one like I usually do. Or I may make a copper one from some plate I have layin around. Thanks anyway.

Man, you have copper plate? Wanna sell some?

If you're gonna use it to make a chassis, I suggest you 1st. solder it together with a steel backing...and brace the transformer areas really well, underneath (so the trannie's don't sag) ...a wet cloth and a propane torch (used outside) to solder it all up ...da bomb!

I love copper...have some bars of it for computer heatsinks, etc...Thermally and electrically, for the price it's the best there is.

Silver is a better conductor of electricity, (Maybe thermal, too);but it's outrageously expensive and corrodes quickly.

That reminds me...if you do use copper, buff that chassis out and make it shiny, put your printing on it...and coat it with clear paint. Keep it looking good!

Naw....wouldn't make the chassis from copper. It is 1/16th thick and I use it to make faceplates with. I buff it good, screen the letters on and then clearcoat it with auto clear. It looks really nice when finished. My chassis I make from heavy alum sheet. I fold it on a brake/bender and then cut the holes.

Yeah, 1/16" thick copper sheet is WAY too flimsy.

But Still, if you used Steel, you could bend it up on a brake and solder the Copper on the edges, etc...

High End Audio Amps sometimes have these "Sandwiched" Chassis for superior Grounding.

Then again, it maybe just looks cool, all buffed out and clear - coated.

My younger brother has a 2204...I think it's 100 watts with channel switching. He doesn't even use it, plus he has a Mesa Boogie V - Twin (unused) rackmount, with a marshall power amp.

I've been after his unused stuff for years...he won't sell anything, won't even accept a starting price.

He right now plays a Sienna Sunburst (ASH) Fender American Standard Strat, HHS., and a Line 6 Flextone II stereo.

He plays in a Blues / Rock Band in Central FLorida "Redeye Express".
