Metro 50watt lots of pics
I have been looking to put new type PPIMV in and also some NOS voltage and output selectors in (hence nuts missing on new type selector).
You can see my solution to the diode problem, not original but quite like my 45/100.

Howdy neikeel!
Looks excellent even if you used separate board for diodes! How does it sound? Do you have any issues with hum because cap-wiring on inside chassis wall?
Where did you get your turret board with holes? Did you put the turrets by yourself? I am still planning/designing my JMP50.

Cannot remember if this board was one of George's or Alnicos.
The cap board material came from Alnico and I put the turrets in.
The amp sounds great, slightly thicker than my Marshalls (see another post coming up when I have uploaded the pics). No hum problems with internal cap.
If I could have got a decent double 32uF axial at the correct voltage rating I would have used that (but I have only seen 350V ones and I think 450v is minimum in these.
I did not like the period Marshall solution with flying diodes. Otherwise it is a copy of the '68 on Marstran site.

Me neither. I'd like to have one long board, where I could put additional four diodes on. So far as I know, George dosen't have such a board in his store. Who is Alnico? Does he have a eStore?neikeel wrote:I did not like the period Marshall solution with flying diodes. Otherwise it is a copy of the '68 on Marstran site.

I've put some more pics here:

Alnico is a forum member here. You may have seen his very accurate JTM45/100 build. I have not seen him here recently, he does do other stuff as well.
