Hi folks, glad to see the forum up and running again!
Years ago i bought a 1987 RI off Hank Sherman from Mercyful Fate and i got the brilliant idea to upgrade it with a metroamps turret/ptp kit.. After board assembly i cut out the old china pcb and threw it in the bin, and realized i didn't know jack about amps.
Years have passed, (i study electrical engineering now), and feel more confident tinkering about inside a tube amp, and now i want to restore the amp.
Question:
I would like to "restore/upgrade" the amp to org. 1987 specs (or close to), is that possible with the tranformers already in the amp now?
any thoughts or comments are appreciated!
cheers from Denmark

I think the short answer is "yes", you can get close with the transformers, etc. you have. So, is "throwing it in the bin" the trash or a bin sitting in a box somewhere?
Let's see what you have and where you are with the amp and then figure a path forward.
