What I'm looking for should be very easy to find:
Strat shape guitar body
Single piece maple neck w/ jumbo frets
Standard tuning machines
Classic Fender style bridge + vibrato
Two humbuckers (probably will replace)
Don't care about the electronics.... or toggle switch
Don't care about the paint job
Under a $1000.
Is this so hard to find? THe only one I've found that is even close is a Fender American Strat HH model.
I've considered just buying the Warmoth parts and doing it that way...
Someone help me find a builder that can do this..
Challenge to anyone: Need to find this guitar!

If there's no quiet, there can be no loud.

I think you can even get the body with a "universal" pickup route that will accomodate humbuckers (even painted), a choice of necks, and every single hardware piece including pickguards for the humbuckers. Check out eBay for some of this stuff also, I see takeoff parts listed way under retail all the time.

I can builld one for you to spec.-PM me. I have been building guitars independently since 1987. No kit parts (unless specificly requested) I build my own necks and bodies from scratch. A Strat style w/ Duncan or DiMarzio PUs,Gotoh vintage style trem,Gotoh or Shaller tuners (I prefer the locking tuners for tuning stability w/this style trem),maple neck and choice of body wood (usually poplar, basswood , alder , or ash) Mahogany may be used as well. Nitrocellulose or urethane finish. I also have a killer stash of flame maple (think PRS or LP Reissue top) I worked at Koonts/Thurston Guitars in Baltimore(now defunct) in 1985 & PRS in 86 and Gibson for a few yrs here in Nashville. A straightforward build like this should easily fall within your budget. Contact me if interested Thanks, Joe
