Cost about $350 plus shipping. Gotta wait 8-10 weeks though, that's gonna be tough.
Congrats I love Warmoth necks. They have IT DOWN, so no worries about build quality. The fretsare always seated perfectly and they actually do a great job on the nut install. Obviously for total *PERFECTION* little things like a slight fret level or touching up the nuts slots are needed........but really, those necks set up RIGHT OFF, and only need what I just mentioned if you are looking for the LOWEST possible action.

Re: Warmoth Build
I remember looking at that picture that Warmoth had in their ads when they went to the 10-16 compound radius (late '80's). I thought "Man, who would want that", cause I thought the radius would be visually SEEN and physically FELT. It isnt though. It looks and feels like a straight radius. Only the COMFORT and ease of play is affected. I can comp chords on the 1st half of fretboard and its comfy, and I can bend real big and left hand legato extremely easy from the 12th fret up. I do like a straight radius as well.NY Chief wrote:Yiou guys like the compound neck shape? Not for me, hate it.
At the end of the day, its fun having LOTS of guitars with all different kind of specs

No argument with that!! And, I agree TS, Warmoth necks are well done though the fret edges were pretty raw on the one I got. Needed some finishing there.

Isn't it 16" on the 22th fret?Carbia wrote:the radius changes while you're going up on the neck.
You have a 10 radius on the first fret and 16 on the 12 fret... It's nice.

Re: Warmoth Build
I'd say their (Warmoths) CNC machine is set so that its an exact formula, concerning the compound radius, like 10' from the nut to 3rd fret, 11' from 4th fret to the 7th, so on and so forth. Like every 3 frets or so the radius goes up. Probably the last 3 frets are a 16' radius. I do not have the radius guage's or I'd check.

It goes up gradually I think. It works well anywayTone Slinger wrote:I'd say their (Warmoths) CNC machine is set so that its an exact formula, concerning the compound radius, like 10' from the nut to 3rd fret, 11' from 4th fret to the 7th, so on and so forth. 'Nothing wrong with the compound radius neck, but you don't have to get that if you don't want. My Warmoth Strat has a straight-12" radius. My other Warmoth (Dinky/Soloist) has the compound.

Re: Warmoth Build
I've got a Warmoth neck on my Line6 Variax. Wolfgang back profile with the 10"-16" radius board. It plays fantastic.
