Dagnall and Drake OT

Post by FourT6and2 » Sun Feb 06, 2011 12:05 pm

I see the Dagnall C1998 and Drake 100W 2" OT are available again from the Metro store.

What's the deal with these? Are both of these clones of what came on original Marshalls? Did one come on certain years and the other on later years or something? Currently, I have a MM in my amp. I'm thinking about building another one but using one of these trannies this time. Just not sure what the history of each one is.

Thanks!

The Wiki is very helpful here,

http://metroamp.com/wiki/index.php/Cate ... ansformers" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

George's trannies are really nice, and more authentically spec'd ... can't go wrong and great choice for your next build.

Ok, I've read the Wiki and that post by George already. Didn't help.

Wikis says the Drake was used in 100 watter circa '67 and the Dagnall up until '72. But I'd like to know what was used in late 70's JMP's. Thanks!
