If you have to replace that PT, I'd go with Marstran long before MM anyway.
If you've got the old JMP style selectors with the plugs, do you have any alligator clip leads to short it with to be sure it's not the issue?
Seems like if the PT went, one winding or the other on the secondary side would still work. If the primary side went it would be DOA, but tht doesn't seem likely unless the wrong value fuse was in place.
