How does the Hammond 290 GX stand up to the rest.

I haven't tried that one, but I tried the 100-watt PT, the 290HX, as well as the corresponding 1750U OT.

The "Guitar Amp" series doesn't seem to be conservatively rated, like the rest of their stuff. It's kinda the opposite, in fact. The heater voltage was on the low side of things ~ 5.8-5.9. The B+ was around 460V, which is lower than the typical Marshall 100-watt PT.

They sounded quite good, actually. I think Dave Friedman has even said he likes them...

not fired up yet sir..pretty soon. Im waiting on some concentric pots so my clean channel can have its own controls right behind the main channel.

finally fired this one up. SOunds killer. obviously its more an OT thing but its doing what its supposed to do. amp sounds great. Got warm a little quicker than what Im used to but I dont think that is anything.
