PT wiring help please.

Post by svenpurple7 » Sun Feb 18, 2007 3:53 pm

Hi all. This is my first post and I am a total noob to amp kits.
So far my first assembly has gone rather well. The few snags that I have had have been answered by forum posts. You guys rock!

Now I am stuck. I am building the 100w plexi and I am on step 9 where I have to connect the PT secondaries to the toggle switches. I think I know what to do with the primaries (miracle!). I have the Heyboer stand up PT and the wires on the left side of the PT are as follows:
2 x solid red wires
2 x solid blue wires
1 x solid white wire (this is the bias tap to PTP so no question here).
1 x solid yellow wire (to positive terminals on filter cap, so no question here).
All other wires I understand.

Q1. The manual says in step 9a: "The red wire from the PT attatches to the lower two terminals of the power switch." What about the other red wire?

Q2. The manual says in step 9b: "The blue and grey wires get twisted together and attatch to the lower two terminals of the standby switch." I have 2 blue wires no grey wires. From a previous post, I was able to decipher that my 2 blue wires should go to the standby switch. Am I correct?

Q3. Where can I find the wiring diagram for this transformer? I have looked through the CD to no avail. I think the diagram would answer my questions.

Any help on this would be fantastic. Thanks in advance,
Ben.

I'd e-mail George pronto, that doesn't seem to match either the old standup Heyboer that's in my Super Bass clone, or the new dual voltage one that he currently stocks!!! The old one doesn't have two red wires; the new one doesn't have a white wire shown!!!
